Patreon “Things” for January 2020

Yesterday at noon I posted this month’s “things” for our Patreon patrons. Homestead Patrons get a short essay introducing green laundry concepts.

I was pretty proud of my laundry skills back in the day (Photo: Michelle L. Zeiger).

The Homestead Super Patrons get the essay, but also the latest edition of A Place at the Table, our monthly family round table discussion. Aly and I recorded this edition without Michelle, who was at work that day. The two of us talked about the cold snap we were experiencing, Aly’s wrist injury, what books to read to beat the weather, and more.

Meanwhile, we’re warming up a bit, with less wind, and lots of snow (screen capture: NOAA Weather Service web page).

This is the first month the monthly donation kicks in, instead of “per creation,” which led to some weird overcharging (see Changes to Patreon for 2020). I’m waiting impatiently to see if this new designation works, and keeps patrons from being overcharged.

If you’re interested in supporting this blog, joining Patreon is a great way to do it. As always, thanks to those who have signed up already, or supported the blog in other ways!
