One Picture Instead of a Thousand Words

We’re safely home from our visit to Wrangell for Independence Day. Aly is with us once again. All is well. And, to be perfectly honest, I’m not quite ready to talk about it all just yet. Which is to your advantage! Give me a bit to process everything, and you may escape the torrent of words one might otherwise experience here.

In the meantime, here’s one of a series of photos I took on the trip that I’m particularly proud of. We saw this sunset on the ferry north. We’re looking at the Brothers Islands off Pybus Bay and False Pybus Point on Admiralty Island, near Five Finger Lighthouse. This was just before 9:00 p.m. Sun sets early in those southern latitudes, compared to Haines!
