Sacred Coffee Audio Book is Now Available!

It’s finally here: I just released Sacred Coffee: A “Homesteader’s” Paradigm as an audio book!

I’m sorry it took so long. I teased you with it a long time ago (see Coming Soon: Sacred Coffee “To Go”) and fully expected to get it out in time for gift giving last Christmas. I should have known better.

But now, the wait has ended, and it’s here. I just reviewed and approved the finished package, and I have to say, it looks and sounds great!

The audiobook edition of Sacred Coffee: a “Homesteader’s” Paradigm comes in the form of an MP3 compact disc. The MP3 format allows the whole book, more than three hours, to be presented in a single disc. It also includes a couple of extras: a copy of the book trailer, and a slideshow of “homestead” views. It’s packaged in a standard jewel case, with printed tray and cover inserts.

At $22.99 plus shipping and handling, it’s a bit pricier than the print version; that reflects the work required to put it in compact disc form.

To order, visit the new Sacred Coffee page on our Web page’s Store page. Clicking the “Buy Now” button pulls up an order form, with which you can order directly from the manufacturer. I received the test “pressing” in 10 days, which includes all the time needed to initially set up the production infrastructure, and mailing to Haines under difficult conditions (the Juneau airport, through which the majority of our mail passes, has been solidly fogged in for a long time now).

For now, it’s only available on the Web. If you live in Haines, it will soon be available at Alaska Rod’s. I have yet to talk to The Babbling Book or the Sheldon Museum gift shop, but they both carry the print edition, and will hopefully offer the audio book as soon as I can get copies to them.

I hope you try it—I think you’ll enjoy it!
