We shot this video at the end of December, just to show some of the trail in its conditions at the time. Because of our lower-speed connectivity, it took me forever to get it posted on YouTube. Finally, I took the computer to town and uploaded it there.
We tried not to narrate too much, nor did we want to use too many captions. Just above the house we found a trackway from a river otter that had slid down the trail. We found where it had come up from the beach and joined our trail. Later, we found another trackway crossing the trail on the far side of “the blow down” (see Exploring the Blow Down).
