Perhaps you’ve noticed the new blue box on the right hand column of the blog page? The one that says “Top Bog, Homesteading?”
I wasn’t vanity searching, honestly. I keyed in our blog’s URL (no, I don’t have it bookmarked . . .) and somehow pulled up the search engine, Bing. It showed me a string of links, one of which said: “Top Homesteading Blogs.” Of course, I had to check it out.
The link took me to Online Sociology Degree’s Top Homesteading Blogs. It’s unclear why a sociology-related site would have such a list, but they do. And lo and behold, there we were, at the top of the list, judged by them to be the best homesteading blog of 2010!
It’s an impressive list of related blogs, most with much cooler names than ours. I’ve visited many of them before. If you like our blog, you might want to look at others on their list (clicking on the blue box will take you there).
There’s an old saying that there’s no such thing as bad publicity. I’m not sure what this honor really means, but it can’t hurt, right? Odd that they never notified us that we’d been so honored. All in all, it’s been a good week for us, publicity-wise.
