I’ve Got the Tools, But Not the Project!

Michelle and I are off the homestead for a while. We’re traveling in the Lower 48 to visit and help family.

Ironically, we have plenty of internet now that we’ve gotten away from the cruise ships, but we’re not home to write about the homestead! I’ve got the tools, but not the project.

What’s worse, we’ll be gone on the 1oth anniversary of starting this blog. That should be a pretty big deal, and we’ll have the bandwidth to mark it, but perhaps not the material.

Who’d want to leave this view? (Photo: Mark A. Zeiger).

We’re having fun, although there came a moment when I almost bagged the trip at the last minute. I just don’t see any good reason to leave the homestead these days.

Good news while we’re gone, though, Aly’s at home, and reports that we’re beginning to get the steady rain we’re supposed to get in August. With 2/3 of us away, we should see a good refreshment of the water supply, which is badly needed. Not to mention, it’ll make watering the garden a lot less labor intensive!

Another misty shot of the mountains, just for the heck of it (Photo: Mark A. Zeiger).

I may not have enough material to post regularly in the coming days. Please check back, just in case. Who knows what may come?
