Patreon Posts for June

So much going on these days, so little connectivity for sharing it!

Last weekend, we recorded a new A Place at the Table episode for June, to share with upper tier Patreon Patrons. We had fun! We debuted new theme music for the show, courtesy of our musician neighbors, discussed the Summer Solstice. We talked about recent social events, and how we deal with and take advantage of long daylight hours. We also anticipated an upcoming visit from my brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Anke. Finally, Aly saw a snipe recently, so we discussed snipe hunts. And the “Inevitable Sleep Vortex” . . . .

A recent summer evening’s view. Not topical, but prettier than anything else I could offer on this post! (Photo: Mark A. Zeiger).

After I got it edited to our liking, I spent several days trying to post it to the web! With cruise ships visiting Skagway and/or Haines every day now, and perhaps because our phone carrier has yet to repair a tower problem that cropped up more than a month ago, I’ve barely been able to keep this blog going, let alone doing anything else on line.

But that’s not my point. I got it up, along with the basic tier offering, an essay about a critical event in my family’s history: a true tale of thwarted love, mail fraud, and a last-minute letter that proved too little, too late for one young bride.

So, join the support crew, and get these offerings of extra content (see We’re Launching a Patreon Page).

The summer solstice we anticipated as we recorded has come and gone, with a lot of interesting developments on and around the day. For instance, I got the Monthly Movie shot. I hope to share those with you as soon as possible.
