About the time the coffee and tea had brewed, the sunrise drew us outside into an unseasonably warm morning. We’ve had a good, serious thaw lately, but no other day has felt this soft and comfortable. Oddly, when I checked the temperature, I discovered that it was actually 10° cooler than most of the previous mornings. It must have been the stillness.
