Postcards from the Edge . . . of Lynn Canal

Cell and Internet connectivity continues to vary wildly here. In other words, we barely manage to text each other, let alone send an email or post on the blog. The latest word around town is that our carrier’s tower is down. Oddly, I have a pretty good connection today! Incidentally, it’s a day without cruise ships in town . . . .

I also have a lot to do around the homestead, so instead of trying to provide information, I’ll just post pretty pictures.

I started taking this sequence shortly after 4:30 a.m. August 2nd, 2017 (Photo: Mark A. Zeiger).

This is the Ruby Princess, the only cell tower blocker currently recognized by AT&T, and then only addressed as a Skagway issue. They don’t want to admit that it messes up coverage in Haines as well. It completely eclipsed our cell and Internet coverage as it passed (Photo: Mark A. Zeiger).

I hope to return to regular posting before long.
