Channeling My Grandmother

Lately I have been thinking a lot about my grandmother, Sarah Mae Eggleston Harris, who was one of my heroines. She knew so much about growing food, fishing, cooking, canning, sewing, loving and living a good life.

The Misty Mountains

Last week as the weather changed, the Coast Range became something out of The Lord of The Rings—the maritime version, perhaps. This is a poor representation of what we really saw that day, as ever.
