Saturday’s Nice View from the Homestead

Saturday morning, around 9:00 a.m., I stepped out on the beach, looked north, and scrambled back to the cabin for the digital camera. On my way through the living room, I told the family to run outside and look north.

We had another breathtaking view, in a spot where they are a regular occurrence. We have spectacular scenery to begin with. The moment-by-moment play of sun or moonlight across it provides a rapidly changing spectacle.

Unfortunately, we don’t have the cameras to capture it. These photos are close, but we can’t record the mountains as we see them, magnified by the atmosphere to double, sometimes triple the heights shown here. But, it’s the best we can do, and we share it with you.
