The Glorious Fourth

Hey, Baby, It’s the Fourth of July! (paid link.) Time for another good old-fashioned small town Independence Day.

Today we’re in town, hanging out with friends, watching or participating in field events, eating picnic food, and all of that good fun stuff. Tonight we’ll watch the town’s fireworks display at friends’ home with an excellent view from their deck. We’ll spend the night with them so we don’t have to hike home, exhausted, in the wee hours of the morning.

Have a safe and wonderful Independence Day!

Meanwhile, a piece summing up our experience home schooling Aly is appearing as a guest blog on this excellent home schooling family’s blog, City Kids Homeschooling. Be sure to check it out, not just for my contribution, but because it’s a good blog about an important subject.
